The idea
OpenPlan has been developed for Telcom systems of the OpenCom 1000 family. It can be easily adapted and used for other configurable component systems of different kinds of industries.

What is OpenPlan? OpenPlan is an online tool, which helps you to configurate your Telcom system and yields an optimized solution. It is developed due to the necessity that technology is an continuous process. Therefore new components with interdependences can be added to the knowledge base.

The tools we are working with are not static. They have to be modified to fit the expectations. Therefore, the flexibility of a tool is crucial for its success. All components can be modified online and exhibit special interdependencies which lead to a holistic knowledge base.

Integration

OpenPlan is applicable for various different kinds of industrial sectors, as we working with open interfaces. Data exchange with other systems
(tools for sales department, SAP...) is based on XML and can be modified if required.

The core of Openplan is a set of rules, which steers dependence within the many individual components. This database can be changed at any time and is quite simple to update - also without special knowledge of programming.

Usage

Additionally, OpenPlan contains an integrated user management. A company can use this feature to integrate its resellers and further partners. Using their recent sell-pricelist the reseller can buy and sell the required material. The reseller is thus be able to offer his customers a Login of OpenPlan - with the conditions of resales he has agreed to.

OpenPlan offers its services as ASP model (Application Service Providing). Resellers and customers only need a browser beside an Internet entrance in order to use OpenPlan. A local software installation is not necessary.
